Part of me wanted to read it as quickly as possible and the other part wanted to just enjoy it as long as possible. That's all she'll ever be. You know I hate these things every bit as much as you do. James--sometimes I got frustrated with him, but most of all, I felt happiness.
I will be keeping my out eye out for her next novel as I know I will be in for an entertaining story. This story really is about, letting things that have hurt us in the past go, forgiving others, building family bonds and friendships that lead to a love and marriage and finding peace with others and ourselves. Their feelings for each other quickly grow, and it appears that, much to Daphne's disbelief, her happily ever after is within reach.
I loved Daphne from the first page, and while her story began a bit slowly, the foundation of building the characters served the later part of the story well since I felt able to connect to their emotions when the plot steadily picked up speed. The banter between characters and the nuances of each different relationship completely captivated me. When a childhood crush, James, comes knocking at her door, her dreams for her future grow. Bottom Line: Great characters, dry humor and swoonworthy romance combine to deliver the ideal Regency novel. Her book is going to be so fun! He becomes so devoted to her, and it was so tender and sweet to watch. I find the Duke of Kielder still to be rather unbelievable, particularly in his overprotectiveness towards Daphne, but this is in all other respects a thoroughly delightful book. Then, we leave that flashback and jump six years to the present time period for the remainder of the story. Her brothers went off i I felt a connection to Daphne so I really understood her! He was kind and she latched onto that memory and wanted to someday belong to him. Every gentleman in Town is clamoring to win her regard because she is so well-spoken and intelligent? Both Daphne and James must learn to trust and overcome self-doubt as their hearts draw closer together.
Other Books by Sarah M. There were so many clever and heartwarming moments. Trust and forgiveness are important themes that are explored as the relationship that Daphne and James built is threatened by secrets. The couple finds themselves caught in a tangled web of greed and deceit, leaving James and Daphne to determine whether they are willing to risk everything for true love. I may not be as shy but I have suffered socially just like her. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. I've read and reread them several times each.
When the handsome young gentleman expresses his desire to court her, Daphne is elated. I really liked this story. It reminded me a lot of when I was a teenager like Daphne and would spend hours visiting my sister and her husband. She hasn't her sisters beauty nor their talent for conversing easily. Now grown up, she meets him again. I do a little happy dance every time I see that a new one is coming out.
I adored how this story came about and the twists in the plot that were cleverly written! Her siblings tolerate her, but she is invisible to them it seems. I hope Sarah Eden writes more about the Lancaster's. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. The Dangerous Duke was in fine form, and it was so fun! She hasn't her sisters' beauty nor their talent for conversing easily. She is such a great character. The first book I read of Sarah's was Courting Miss Lancaster, so I was thrilled to have another story with this enduring family. Even her family's enviable connections may not be enough to prevent disaster.
The E-mail message field is required. She is an amazing author! Even her family's enviable connections may not be enough to prevent disaster. James Tilburn is a young man with a domineering father. Sometimes he'd laugh at me and then I'd start laughing and other times he'd just listen and let me get all the cares off my shoulders. Will all her dreams be crushed? She's been in love with James since she was a girl. Their feelings for each other quickly grow, and it appears that, much to Daphne's disbelief, her happily ever after is within reach.
A wonderful romance and addition to the Lancaster Family series! Yet nothing is as it seems. Unfortunately, her happily-ever-after seems within reach until she finds out James has a terrible secret. I liked her personality, she is quite and shy and overlooked. I also truly loved having so many beloved characters back in this novel from other Lancaster Family novels. I felt like I could relate so well with her in many aspects.
